Terms of Service

EzScribe provides automated transcription and transcript translation services for audio and video content. You may upload files, submit directly accessible media URLs, or use supported platform links (for example, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook, and RedNote/Xiaohongshu) to generate text transcripts for content you own, are authorized to process, or are otherwise legally permitted to use.

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

a. Credit System

We use a prepaid credit system. Each minute of transcription consumes credits at the rate displayed on our site, rounded up to the next full minute.

b. Purchasing Credits

You may purchase credit packs on our site. Your purchase of credits is a contract with EzScribe. Payment is collected on our behalf by a third-party payment processor: your card details are entered on the processor’s secure systems and are never stored on our servers.

Questions about a specific charge, a receipt, or a refund should be sent to EzScribe Support at support@ezscribe.org. Refunds are handled by us in accordance with our Refund Policy.

If your account has no transcription activity (i.e., no transcription request submitted) and no credit purchase for 24 consecutive months, we may delete your account after providing notice. Notice sent to the email address registered on your account is deemed delivered. Any remaining credits will be forfeited.

e. Changes to Pricing

We may change our prices, credit rates, and pack contents at any time. Changes take effect for purchases made after they are published and do not change the credit value of purchases you have already completed.

You agree to use EzScribe only for lawful transcription and translation workflows. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and legal basis to submit any file, URL, transcript, subtitle, or other content to the service.

You agree not to:

• Upload or submit content that violates any law, third-party rights, privacy rights, copyright, or applicable platform terms.
• Submit private, login-protected, restricted, deleted, or otherwise inaccessible links, or attempt to bypass access controls, paywalls, DRM, platform restrictions, or technical protections.
• Use the service to download, rip, redistribute, or make unauthorized copies of original audio or video content.
• Use transcripts, subtitles, captions, or translations generated by the service in a way that infringes another party's rights or violates applicable laws.
• Use the service for illegal or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

What we own

We retain all rights to the service, including its software, design, and content.

What you own

You retain ownership of your uploaded content and transcripts. We do not claim any rights over your content beyond providing the service.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that transcripts will be error-free, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any content will be secure or not lost.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Automated transcription and translation produce machine-generated output: you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it for any purpose.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including individual features, supported platforms, and integrations, at any time. If we permanently discontinue the service as a whole, we will give reasonable advance notice to the email address registered on your account.

We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network, hosting, or upstream provider outages, changes to third-party platforms or APIs, acts of government, or natural disasters.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EzScribe and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the service.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EzScribe and its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• any file, URL, link, transcript, or other content you upload, submit, or process through the service;
• your breach of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use rules above;
• your violation of any applicable law or of the rights of any third party, including intellectual property and privacy rights; or
• your use of transcripts, subtitles, captions, or translations produced by the service.

We will notify you of any such claim and may participate in its defense at our own expense.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles and without regard to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is to be resolved exclusively by the courts of Singapore, and you and EzScribe each submit to their personal jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@ezscribe.org — most issues are resolved faster that way.

If you are a consumer resident in a country whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, or applies mandatory local consumer protection rules, this section does not remove that right.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a significant change we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and post a notice on the site, and we may also send an email to the address registered on your account. Please review the current version before continuing to use the service — your continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
